Student Success

If you asked me before I did this module, I would say that being successful at ASU would consist of just getting good grades but it turns out there is a lot more to it. Getting good grades is only part of being successful at ASU. One other part of being successful is how you connect with people you haven't normally interacted with. ASU is a very diverse University with people from all kinds of different backgrounds that you can learn from. A second part is how you balance your time. You need to make sure you set 2-3 hours of time for homework and studying for each 1 hour your in class. I find it better do just do your homework the day it is assigned to get it finished rather than put it off and end up having a big work load at the end of the week. Also it is very important to be actively engaged in class. If you have questions, get help quickly by a tutor or visit your instructors during office hours. Its also important that you give your brain time to rest. For example, if you have a test the next day don't stay up hanging out with your roommates even though you studied for many hours. Another way to be successful is to get involved in the University. Join a club or a student organization. It is a good way to meet new people. So if you can do these things and do them well, you will be successful in college. In conclusion , "To succeed... you need to find something to hold on to, something to motivate you, something to inspire you. (Tony Dorsett: Famous Success Quotes) For me is getting a degree
and I know I can achieve my goal if I follow the steps to student success.
